Shorebirds

They are already back

Todd got these pictures just outside Bismarck at a great brood and shorebird pond.

Right is a Greater Yellowlegs; left photo is one Least Sandpiper (left) and one Semi-palmated Sandpiper (right). All are arctic breeders.

Their nesting season is over; they are already starting their long southern migration.

These shorebirds benefit from the wetland easements our duck dollars have enabled.
