Donor Engagement Manager

Location: Headquarters office in Bismarck, ND

Delta’s international headquarters is located in Bismarck, North Dakota.  Currently, our dedicated team consists of almost 100 employees, of which about half work within our headquarters office and the other half work remotely throughout the US and Canada.  Our organization has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years, and this is expected to continue.  This is an exciting time for Delta as we look to the future, and we are looking for talented and skilled individuals who have a passion to perform meaningful work to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY

Oversee constituent data relating to donor contributions and future prospective donors. Provide donor recognition and stewardship on behalf of the Development Department. Manage and Oversee Project work and staff relating to the Annual Giving Fundraising Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Direct supervision of the Annual Giving department and personnel
  2. Research, develop, and maintain Development processes to ensure integrity and accuracy of donor giving and constituent data in relation to donor engagement.
  3. Provide Development Leadership with donor giving and membership and renewal program data and analytics in relation to donor engagement.
  4. Work with the VP of Development Operations to oversee Annual Giving budget constraints and product acquisition needs.
  5. Assist in answering incoming Annual Giving inquiries.
  6. Process and track invoices for Development department.
  7. Provide Individual Prospect Research for Development Department fundraisers utilizing implemented organizational technology.
  8. Work with others to assess the current database and perform regular database wealth screens.
  9. Oversee all Development Department Recognition and Stewardship Programs
  10. Contribute to planning and oversight of key donor events
  11. Serve as liaison to the MARCOM department and outside marketing design vendor relationships as well as maintenance of Development Department marketing, communications and recognition collateral inventory.
  12. Work in collaboration with Development management staff for a cohesive Development support staff.
  13. Assist in answering and processing incoming calls in a professional manner.
  14. Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or 3 years or more of experience in a fundraising or project management support role
  2. Experience will Salesforce or other CRM software – preferred
  3. Experience with major donor and/ customer prospect research analysis
  4. Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage departmental project calendars, timelines, and deadlines.
  5. General understanding of non-profit fundraising best practices and Finances
  6. Ability to work collaboratively but authoritatively with staff across departments in a matrixed environment
  7. Ability to practice a high level of discretion and confidentiality, and stay calm and on-task at all times.
  8. Problem solving skills and ability to respond to change.
  9. Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and other software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and listen.  The employee requires dexterity in using telephone, computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and other office equipment. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and navigate stairs.  The employee must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds unassisted.  Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
